Christians don’t really have a problem with the concept of the trinity. In fact, it is a key doctrine to understanding much of other Christian doctrines, such as the atonement.

The problem comes in when we try to reconcile monotheism with the fact that the biblical authors, especially in the Old Testament, often don’t have a problem with recognition the fact that there are other gods. How can Christians reconcile this?
